People often ask me...

What made you decide to do this? After working in the corporate world of marketing and event planning, I was ready to use my skills to create my own future. Design, especially in a "green" sense, has inspired me to create functional art from otherwise unwanted materials.

How long does it take to make one? Every single one is different, designed individually from a combination of rescued, vintage & retro materials. Seems like I design in groups, a lot like a family, so quite often you will see a collection of purses with similar touches.

Where do you get your fabric? I learned to sew in third grade, so I have a huge fabric collection. Now I continue to work with people who work in the fabric industry, for both interiors and office furniture. People often give me fabric that their family members have collected and never used, so I am thankful for the gift of those vintage resources.

Who inspires you? There are several women who have influence my life, starting with my mom and grandma, moving up north to my new creative friends here. Many of my purses are inspired by people who are special to me.

Where are you from? Northern Michigan, where it's always beautiful if you look at things the right way!
